ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY (AUP)

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) outlines the rules and guidelines for using the services, website, application, and systems provided by Sommetry, Inc. (“Sommetry”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). This policy is designed to protect our platform, users, and infrastructure.

By accessing or using any part of the Sommetry platform (“Service”), you agree to comply with this AUP.

1. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

You may not use the Service to:

• Violate any law or regulation, including data privacy, intellectual property, or export control laws.
• Infringe upon the rights of any person or organization, including rights of privacy, publicity, or copyright.
• Upload, post, transmit, or share any content that is:
  • Offensive, abusive, defamatory, or obscene
  • Discriminatory or hateful in nature
  • Misleading, false, or impersonating someone else
• Distribute malware or any malicious code, spyware, viruses, or worms.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the system or breach any security or authentication measures.
• Interfere with or disrupt the availability, reliability, or performance of the platform or connected networks.
• Harvest or collect information from other users without their explicit consent.
• Resell, lease, sublicense, or share your account or access credentials without permission.

2. USER RESPONSIBILITIES

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your login credentials and devices used to access the platform.
• Promptly reporting any actual or suspected security breaches or unauthorized use.
• Ensuring uploaded content (e.g., wine data, CSVs) is accurate, lawful, and within your right to share.

3. SYSTEM & RESOURCE USAGE

To maintain service integrity, you may not:

• Use automated tools (e.g., bots, scrapers) to access or extract data unless explicitly approved by Sommetry.
• Run processes or code that impose an unreasonable load on the Service.
• Attempt to circumvent storage limits, API limits, or access controls.

4. ENFORCEMENT

Violations of this AUP may result in:

• Account suspension or termination
• Access restrictions or IP blocks
• Legal action, if applicable
• Notification to relevant authorities, in the case of criminal conduct

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action at our sole discretion.

5. REPORTING VIOLATIONS

If you believe someone is violating this AUP or misusing the platform, please report it immediately to:

6. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may modify this AUP at any time. Updates will be posted on our website and take effect immediately upon publication. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
